The “Shaker- Test Stand”.
The SHAKER Test Stand was developed for engines from 30cc up to 200cc, single, twin or multi cylinder Gasoline Aircraft engines.
Most engines can benefit from a proper break in procedure but mounting a new , tight and un-tuned motor in an air frame can really take its toll on the model. To avoid this we used to bolt down engines solid to a workbench or rig of some type and break the engines in. The problem was and still is that break in vibrations can damage or destroy your engine long before it ever goes airborne! The solution? Allow the engine the move in a limited way- simple!
The engine can rock side to side , pull front to back but still stay very secure and stable. Now you can sort out tuning and break-in without exerting extra wear and tear on your air frame! Fully swap-able motor plate system allows quick swap of engines in just minutes! Also available Removable Cooling Shrouds also available as an option. (photos coming soon).
The Shaker is built ultra tough and made to last a lifetime! Made from CNC machined 3/4″ Baltic Birch Plywood with a 1″ thick solid maple engine mounting block with a base that is 1 1/2″ inches thick! This is one tough break in stand! All screw holes per-drilled.(Supplied without carb hole or engine mounting holes). Assembly takes about an hour and the parts fit is perfect due to the CNC machine process. Movement is fully adjustable . Extra motor plates 15.00. (each plate can fit several bolt hole patterns).
Stainless Steel hardware is used with 3/8″ diameter ,70,000 lb tensile strength bolts, Cad plated springs , high-performance dampers and stainless steel torx head assembly screws All included. Supplied in unfinished wood.
Cooling Shrouds adjust to direct airflow directly over cylinder heads. Can be postioned, trimmed or bent to suit any application.
